Brand Identity
Website
Together with scenographer Laura Siebold, we developed the visual identity and website for Hände voller Geschichte (Hands Full of History), a historical theme trail created to mark the 800th anniversary of the Swiss town of Sissach.
The trail connects eight locations throughout the village and surrounding landscape, sharing stories inspired by more than fifteen historical personalities whose lives reflect themes of work, change, resistance, conflict, and community. At each station, a bronze hand sculpture captures a gesture associated with the storyteller, creating a physical thread that guides visitors through the experience.By scanning a QR code at each location, visitors can access an audio story and step into the Sissach of another era. Based on historical research, the stories transform local history into personal narratives that connect past and present.

We created a visual identity that gives the project a sense of gravitas and historical depth while remaining attractive to all age groups. The identity centres around the expressive hand gestures, which become both a navigational device and a visual symbol of human connection across generations.
The website was designed as a companion to the audio experience. It supports the stories through clear navigation, accessible typography, transcripts, portraits, and historical background information. The result is a layered experience that brings together place, object, voice, and digital media to make local history tangible and engaging.
